You answer the questions. We do the rest.
We check every answer against your destination’s current rules, file the application for you, and email you as soon as there’s a decision.
Crown Visa is an independent private company, not a government agency. We charge for preparing and checking your application. You can apply directly with the government yourself and pay only the government fee.
Before you pay
We only ask what we need to price your order and check your passport is eligible. It takes about five minutes, and you won’t pay anything until you’ve seen the full breakdown.
Passport and destination
Your nationality decides everything: whether you need one at all, which one, and what it costs. So we ask it first.
The basics
Your name, date of birth, email, and your passport number, expiry date and issuing country. No jargon, and your answers save as you go.
Pick a speed, see the price
Choose how fast we file it. Checkout shows our fee, the government fee and any extras, line by line, before you pay.
After you pay
The longer questions come after you’ve paid: your address, place of birth, job, photos and the declarations the authority asks for. You can stop and come back any time. Every email we send has a link straight back to your application.
The rest of the details
Phone number, personal details, employment and declarations, plus photos of your passport page and your face, one traveller at a time.
We check it, then file it
A person reads through your whole application against the current rules. If it’s all in order, we file it within the time you paid for.
Your result, by email
We keep an eye on it and email you as soon as there’s news. Your approval is linked to your passport, so there’s nothing to print.
The filing time you choose is our promise: how quickly we get your application to the authority. How long they take to decide is up to them, and nobody can speed that up. Most decisions are quick, but none are guaranteed.
What you pay, and who gets it
Every order has two separate fees. Our service fee pays for us to prepare, check, file and follow up your application. The government fee is the authority’s own charge. We collect it with your payment and pass it on in full. We don’t mark it up, and we don’t keep any of it.
Both show up as separate lines at checkout and on your receipt. Government fees are set in the authority’s own currency, so if you pay in a different one, we convert it at checkout and lock the rate in on your order. It won’t change afterwards, whatever the exchange rate does.
All prices are per traveller, so a family of four pays each fee four times. That’s the biggest thing that changes your total.
Our fee also goes up if you choose faster filing or add extras. You won’t be charged until you’ve seen the full breakdown, with every line and the number of travellers.
What our fee covers, and what it can’t
Some things no service can promise. Here’s where the line is.
Scan it with your phone, finish on your laptop
Holding a passport up to a laptop webcam is nobody’s idea of fun. And a blurry or cropped photo is one of the most common reasons applications get sent back.
So when you get to the passport step, we show you a QR code. Scan it with your phone, take the photo, and it lands in the application on your laptop. Nothing to install, and no signing in on your phone.
We then read the machine-readable strip at the bottom of the page and check it against what you typed. One wrong character in a passport number is the costliest mistake you can make on the form, and this is how we catch it. Rather not use your phone? You can upload a file instead.
- It only works once.
- It expires 15 minutes after it appears on screen.
- It doesn’t sign you in or show any of your details. All it can do is take a photo.
- The photo goes straight into your application. The page doesn’t keep a copy on your phone.
If something goes wrong
Most applications go straight through. Here’s what happens when one doesn’t.
We never file an application with an error we know about. We’ll pause it, email you exactly what needs changing and why, and check it again once you’ve fixed it. If it’s a photo problem, we’ll tell you what to change (the lighting, the background, the crop), not just that it failed.
Your filing time restarts once we have everything we need.
Sometimes an application is held for extra checks, or the authority asks a question. We keep an eye on it so you don’t have to, and email you as soon as anything changes.
If they need something from you, we’ll explain what they’re asking in plain language and tell you exactly what to send. You can check progress any time with your reference.
A refusal is the authority’s decision, and we can’t overturn it. We’ll pass on any reason they give and tell you straight whether it’s worth reapplying.
Denial protection, an optional extra on some destinations, covers one specific case: if your application is refused because of something we should have caught, we’ll prepare and file the reapplication without charging our fee again. It isn’t insurance and it doesn’t refund your money, and the authority will charge its own fee again for the new application.
If we got something wrong, tell us and we’ll put it right. Our refund policy explains when you can get money back.
